Thailand was spent with our friends, Steph and Brandon, and while the weather often left something to be desired, we made the most of it.

After our tour in Ha Giang we slowly made our way towards the Laotian border with stops in Lao Cai and Dien Bien Phu on the way.

After enjoying a few days in bustling Hanoi we headed out to Vietnam’s northernmost province: Ha Giang. We rented a motorcycle for a few days to explore the winding roads and beautiful landscape of this area.

We arrived in Hanoi early in the morning after taking an overnight train from Hue. Hanoi is Megan’s favorite city in Vietnam and after Ha Long Bay we gave ourselves 3 more days to stay there before venturing further north.

Megan was eager to see how much Vietnam has changed since she last visited ten years ago and was excited to share some of her favorite spots with Markus.
